Whew, the contest pieces have been entered and you can relax, but the OWFI Conference is getting closer! May 4-6 and we will gather for all things writerly. I am making a list of people interested in bringing centerpieces to the conference to promote their latest book—or just their talent.
The centerpieces, also known as book bouquets, will be on display at the conference and for auction on Saturday night at the banquet. At the awards the banquet they will grace the tables.
Buy as many tickets as you like at the registration table or at the banquet on Saturday night and take home a handmade item by your favorite author.
You don’t have to have a new book this year—or a book at all, we welcome your centerpiece. What genre do you write? Aspire to write? Maybe you love them all! Show us how you feel about writing and think about your story and things that are important, then begin to decorate! You can use any container, just a platter, maybe a stick! There’s beauty in simplicity.
